Most Innovative Mattresses

The Love Mattress by Mehdi Mojtabvi (Bed Built for Snuggling)

Luxury Sleeping
(How much would you pay for a handcrafted mattress? Would it be worth $60,000 U.S. dollars to you? I guess it depends on how much you value a good night’s sleep. It also depends on how highly you rate a mattress that is made entirely of all-natural materials)

Magnetic Floating Bed (At 1,200,000 euros, the magnetic floating bed ain't cheep, was designed by architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars)

Air Conditioned Bed (C-Scout Japan is importing the beds for $399)

Sonic Music Bed (Kaffe Matthews has designed “Sonic Bed”, a bed equipped with built-in loudspeakers. The purpose is to concentrate on making music to feel rather than just listen to.)
A Bed with Shock Absorbers
Media Center Mattress (Hollandia International has put together a sleep system with a retractable 32 inch Sony HiDef TV in the foot board which is a perfect 80 inches from the headboard. The Elite also has a Bravia theater system that includes a DVD/CD 5 disc changer, five speaker surround sound system, and an iPod dock)

3 in 1 Designs (the Forever Blanket by BCXSY is a pillow, mattress and blanket, all in one design)

Suspended Bridge Beds (Max Longin designed the bed based on the inspiration of the architecture of suspension bridges, as he was intrigued by the calming movement - The Float is available at a starting price of $6,200)

Cardboard Mattresses (Designed by the studio Swiss Design, the "itbed" is a portable, light bed that is made from 7 mm thick corrugated cardboard. It folds and unfolds just like an accordion, making it easy to carry and move)

Luxury Dog Beds (Magniflex is an Italian mattress company. They offer a wide range of shapes and sizes of mattresses - including one that is threaded with 22-karat gold - $24,000 - $30,000)
