The Chinese find dog to be not only a tasty meal (apparently it tastes similar to pork), but also to be good for the health.

“Dog meat is good for your health and metabolism,” explains Ms. Li, a Chinese woman who declined to give her first name. “In the summer, it helps you sweat.”

A recent BBC documentary mentioned that even Tibetan monks are known to eat dog meat.

Below we have identified 10 popular ways that dog is prepared and eaten in China.

British chef and restaurateur Tristan Welch has created the “World’s Meatiest Sandwich”, according to the Daily Mail.

The massive carnivore’s dream measures 25-inches high, 24-inches wide, and weighs more than 28 pounds—and is said that it would probably take 10 hours to eat.

The monster sandwich contains 41 different kinds of meat—1,445 grams of ham; 2 kilograms of salami, turkey and bacon; 1 kilogram of sausages; and 720 grams of chorizo, according to the Daily Mail.

Welch created the behemoth sub for the launch of TV program ‘Man v. Food Nation’ on Food Network UK, where host Adam Richman travels around the US, daring people are to take on food challenges.

Food Network’s Nick Thorogood told the Daily Mail: “The world’s meatiest sandwich is an epic creation. We expect only the very brave will take on the challenge and attempt to eat it.”

“We wanted to create a sandwich that embodies the Man v. Food Nation series—that is big dishes, big flavors, and big challenges.”
