Paris-based artist Annastassia Elias who usually works in the fields of painting and illustration started an unusual project where she transforms toilet paper rolls into pieces of art. She cuts small paper shapes and sticks the inside the toilet rolls creating these incredibly cute and tiny toilet roll scenes.
“One day I looked at an empty roll and wondered if I can do something with it,” said the artist.
Elias says that each piece can take up to few hours to complete because of the small scale of the project.
“I use tweezers to manipulate the paper shapes. I select the paper of the same color as the roll. It gives the illusion that the paper figures make part of the roll,” says the artist.
